Language in Cleaning and Language for a facility employee.

Unique training: facility-competent and language-safe!

TopTaal and facility trainer UL-Team have jointly developed unique training courses. Learning the Dutch language is integrated with learning an aspect of the facility work field. Language in Cleaning and Language for the facility manager. These courses are practical, accessible and contemporary. For example, hospitable working and service provision are a standard part of the training, because these aspects are becoming increasingly important in the profession of a facility employee. There is also the possibility to expand the learning trajectory with an internship at a suitable organization. This makes these courses extremely suitable for employees who are new to this branch, such as status holders.

Training "Language in cleaning"

The "Language in cleaning" training is designed around situations from the daily work practice of the cleaner. The participant learns to speak the language of the cleaning and at the same time skills of the cleaning profession. This makes the training varied and practical. The assignments are composed in such a way that the participant can practice specific words and sentences while working.

Because cleaning nowadays is more than just following the cleaning program and more and more takes place during the day, safe and hospitable working is also included in the training. Asking a guest a question, having a simple conversation or explaining an unsafe situation requires a good knowledge of the Dutch language. It is not without reason that these aspects are also part of the training.

The participant will receive the certificate from TopTaal after completing the training. In addition, there is the possibility for the participant to take the recognized cleaning industry exam and thus obtain the RAS diploma.

The Language in Cleaning course takes 20 weeks. The participant has 4 half-days of lessons per week and possibly extra half-days of internship.

Training "Language for the facility employee"

The “Language for the facility employee” training has the same structure as “Language in cleaning”. The field of work of the facility employee is broader and more complex, and the expectations with regard to service provision are higher. This makes this language course suitable for students of MBO level. Facility staff can work in one or more fields. The fields of expertise vary from cleaning, preparing meeting rooms, catering, logistics activities to building management. Service provision and hospitable working is the starting point for every field. This places more and broader demands on language proficiency.

In this interactive training, the various facility activities are linked to learning the Dutch language and the practice of the own organization. A presentation assignment concludes this training. In this, the participant shows and hears that he / she can tell a story in the Dutch language and understands what his / her facility activities entail. The UL Team & TopTaal certificate is the reward for the effort.

Work in a healthcare environment?

The above courses can be expanded with additional topics that are specific to a healthcare organization, such as hand hygiene, basic knowledge of infection prevention or professional skills in an environment with cytostatics or an infected environment.
