TopTaal and the City of Amsterdam are organizing a work market for students. Various workshop, trial lessons and information to be better prepared for the job market.
On 27 June, TopTaal, in collaboration with the municipality of Amsterdam, organized a Werkmarkt in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. The purpose of the afternoon was to link job seekers and organizations together. In conversations with TopTaal students it often emerges that many people experience the Dutch labor market as difficult. Many students indicate that they would like to work, but that they have difficulty finding and finding suitable vacancies. The Werkmarkt was intended to close this gap and offer trainees extra support. Such an event also fits in well with the vision of the Amsterdam municipality: Amsterdammers who cannot participate on their own must be given the help needed to participate in the city as independently as possible. The municipality of Amsterdam took care of the content of the program.
The Werkmarkt was an interesting information market for which 20 was invited by various organizations that offer support to foreign speakers in paid work, apprenticeships and / or volunteer work. In addition to the information market, there were various workshops that students could register for, such as: 'Application tips', 'Teach yourself to present', and a workshop 'Entrepreneurship'. The workshops were well-filled and were greatly appreciated!
It was a successful afternoon that attracted many TopTaal students. We hope to be able to organize such an event again next year!
