TopTaal signed the pledge together with 69 others

Strengthening cooperation on health and literacy
Contribute to Feel Good!, an integrated approach to obesity and health literacy. Train employees to identify low literacy and refer people to appropriate taalTraining. Bringing parties together to develop new products, services, and concepts that contribute to tackling low literacy. This is a selection of the commitments made by the twelve parties joining the Health and Literacy Alliance today, part of the National Prevention Program "Everything is Health…"

Relationship health and literacy
People who have difficulty understanding and applying information often have poorer health than literate people. They use care more often, they have less knowledge about health and more difficulty with compliance and self-care. They also have a greater chance of dying earlier.

Taaleducation and health
There is much to be gained for low-literate people. Taaleducation not only makes taalMore skilled, happier, more self-reliant, more active, and those with low literacy feel both physically and mentally healthier after attending training. All alliance partners pledge to actively work to reduce low literacy in the Netherlands.

On November 22 2016 signed twelve new parties from all sectors of society in The Hague pledge Everything is health….

The partners who have joined are: GGD Gelderland Zuid, Affordable Healthy Food, HANNN, House for Movement, Opportunity for the Peat Colonies, Staatsbosbeheer, and the Expertise Center Oefenen.nl Foundation. TopTaal, Piezo, Maastricht University, Science & Food and Wester & Van Doorn.
