The program TopTaalcafé

Thursday January 9th starts TopTaal commissioned by the municipality Amsterdam and in collaboration with the oba 'Het TopTaalcafe'.

With the TopTaalAt the café, we want to offer a place for anyone who wants to speak Dutch. Non-Dutch speakers and volunteers have the opportunity to connect with each other. The meetings are accessible and have a relaxed atmosphere. Nothing is mandatory, everything is allowed. In Dutch, of course.

Learning and practicing a taal you do it best by doing. Speaking is the most important part of it taal to make it your own. This is best done in a relaxed manner in a pleasant place. You are at the TopTaalcafé, you're not obligated to talk. And this accessibility and informality often makes people dare to talk. taalCafé is a weekly free event that helps people build lasting connections and find their way back into society.

Different themes

Each week there is a theme. These themes will often connect to (neighborhood) current affairs or topics that are relevant to daily life as a newcomer in AmsterdamAttention is paid to 21st-century skills such as media literacy and digital skills, and there is room to relax with Dutch board games. Once a month there is a closing session. TopTalk, in which someone from your own group or a guest speaker talks about a specific topic.

The program TopTaalCafé is every Thursday from 17.00:19.00 PM to XNUMX:XNUMX PM at the Public Library Amsterdam (oba) in Buitenveldert.
