Work market

TopLanguage and Municipality Amsterdam organize a work market for students. Various workshops, trial lessons and information to be better prepared for the labor market.

On June 27, TopTaal, in collaboration with the municipality, organized Amsterdam, a Work Market in Amsterdam New West. The aim of the afternoon was to connect job-seeking students and organizations. In conversations with TopTaal students, it often emerges that many experience the Dutch labor market as difficult. Many students indicate that they would like to work, but that they have difficulty searching and finding suitable vacancies. The Werkmarkt was intended to close this gap and to offer students extra support. Such an event also fits well with the vision of the Amsterdamse municipality: AmsterdamPeople who cannot participate on their own should receive the help needed to participate as independently as possible in the city. The municipality Amsterdam thus contributed to the implementation of the programme.

The Werkmarkt was an interesting information market for which 20 was invited by various organizations that offer support to foreign speakers in paid work, apprenticeships and / or volunteer work. In addition to the information market, there were various workshops that students could register for, such as: 'Application tips', 'Teach yourself to present', and a workshop 'Entrepreneurship'. The workshops were well-filled and were greatly appreciated!

It was a successful afternoon that attracted many TopTaal students. We hope to be able to organize such an event again next year!
